The Change of Leaves Colour and texture

Afternoon all

Thank you for popping in today and hope you are well

What a day yesterday via the media with all the news. Terrible thing to
happen in Manchester on 22nd at 10.30pm all those innocent children, young
people and folk.

Been working on my journal again, I am finding I can use my art to relax
without the need to "make" something like a card.

I have plenty of cards at the moment and feel I need some other outlet and to
craft via a journal is helping the journey

Here is my journal page for the challenge 18 over on Facebook

With the theme of

Create a piece of work using the
colours PURPLE, ORANGE & GREEN using the Theme, " The Change,"
The art prompt for this week is " texture "
which is just for inspiration or idea for more journal work.

So here is my page for today

I first used a Clarity Stamp Stencil for the wood background using
three different colours, orange, purple and green blending in the edges

Then I used a variety of different leaves from Card-io stamps to create
texture and the Change of Colour of the seasons.

Well that was my thinking.....

From Spring (green) to Autumn (Orange and Purple)

I hope you like it

Have a good day and hope to see you soon

No words are needed

Afternoon

No words are needed

my craft journal says it all

See you tomorrow or very soon.

Birdie bird and made the top 3's

Good morning

Well what a shock this morning to hear about the bomb in Manchester UK
last night.

Words fail me as to why there are these sorts of people who want to maim and kill
innocent children and people

I feel I need to use my craft to show how I feel so will up date later
this blog.

Very pleased to say that I have made the top 3 or DT favourites for the last few
challenges

Went shopping and when I came home found this
in the garden on the path, all in the wet.

Poor thing

so put it on the table in the dry and keeping an eye on it.

Hope he will be ok......

Well that is it for now....

Off to put the TV on and see what is what and do a bit of crafting
this afternoon.

Take care and my thoughts are with all how have been affected by the
actions in Manchester.

all in the face

Hi there

Well here I am today feeling like getting back to crafting
so thought I would have a play with some
Indigoblu items - stamps and stencil

Started off with a black page and used the face stencil and a smoothie with some
brown ink on - only used it lightly to give the face a glow.

Then used all sorts of ways with the Gelatos pens to make the hair

Added the black stencil music into the hair to keep with the theme over
at

I hope you like it and look forward to getting crafting again
tomorrow

Wednesday thoughts about the weekend

Hi there and thank you for popping in today.

I have to say that over the past few weeks my mind has been on other things.
Why I ask myself, well the reason is that over last weekend
we traveled over to see Mum some 250 miles away.

May not seem too far for some but for me it is a terrible drive using
motorways which are renound for the delays.

The M25

The plan was to have a couple of days of peace and quite with Mum but that was not to be.
Had to take Mum into hospital for a knee injection operation fortunately I went
with her carer who was a saint.

Going private is not all it seems - scheduled to be there at 10 am and we did not get home
till gone 5pm.

A day of stress and worry.

Then Mum of course slept most of Sunday and so we were home on Monday
after a 7 hour journey.

Again there was a hold up at Stonehenge with people slowing down to view
the stones from the cars....

This is on the way

This is on the way home

Well it is done now and I have to say that I am now beginning to feel somewhat better
from all the travel etc etc.

So here are a few photos of Mums garden - on the up side the weather was lovely
Den stayed at the house on Saturday so the rest did him good I am sure.

On Sunday the weather was lovely and we got a chance to sit out in the garden
letting the world go by.
Myrtle (the cat) just loves walking around with someone
(Mum not able to walk in the garden now with out a lot of help)

So here are a couple of photos of Myrtle in the garden

Hope to get back into blogging about my cards and look forward to
hearing from you soon.

But before I go,  I would like to enter for the following

By the light of the Silver Moon

Hi there

Well where does the time go half way through May

I have made this card for you today as a member of the design team

over at LTSCB

This months Challenge is Anything goes.

I have used a backing paper from Lavinia using her stamps too.

Stamped the faeries across the moon above the hare

The hare is stamped in black "looks like he is howling" to the moon

Added glitter to bring out the fantasy of the card.

Mounted onto silver miri card onto an Adorable Scorable card
making a card blank.

I do hope to see you over at the Challenge

Have a great day and see you soon

Thursday evening

Hi there

Well here I am just thinking what am I doing and know that I have
a new project to show in a few days time.

Been having fun with new products (to me)

but the main thing I have done these last few weeks is to get on the
band wagon on loosing weight.

I have found since I have no longer had a horse and started crafting
my weight has gone up and up soooooo very much.

It is not good and when my partner said the other evening he was worried
about it - that shook me into action.

Today I have bought a Nutribullet to blend those veg I am not too keen on eating
into smoothies.

Also I have joined that well known Points counting organisation to keep me on track
not to go to meeting, yet, but that is not to say I will not be going.
I am using online

I have been out in the garden also over the last week trying to sort out the weeds
before, hopefully the rain comes.

Well that is me for now.......

Will keep you posted with photos of the garden over the next few days

and will be back to showing my crafting next week.

Take care and hope to hear from you soon.

to bring together all the elements
Black edge to the topper onto a
square card blank made from Adorable Scorable card stock.

Hall which was yesterday.

I had a good time up there with my cards, I took my photo cards
for a change and those went down very well.

Anyway thought I would just touch base with you

Been out in the garden today
very hot. could really do with some rain now.

Hope to be back in the next couple of days with some of my cards

I need some time to chill out and get my head around a few problems
which are in my life at the moment.

so I may not be around quite so often for the time being

But in the mean time I hope you are well

and look forward to hearing from you soon.

Its all about the dog

Hi there

Thank you for popping in today sorry to have not been around
for a couple of days.

As I said the other day I feel I have lost my mojo, about making
cards but in the mean time
I am working on this......

A soft pastel picture of a friends dog

now nearly finished

Getting there today with texture to the fur.

I am using Velour paper which has a texture to it.....

This is it a couple of days ago.

Looking a bit flat .

Another try .....

I tried with the tongue hanging out but it just does not look right
(to me) so scrapping that idea

Think it is looking better now....  nearly finished.

Has anyone used something to "fix" the pastels ??? Would be interested
in hearing from you.

Will love to hear from you on your thoughts ...
good or bad or ideas.....

I went off to post a couple of cards and took these
photos of our bank which boarders the road.

Just look at all those Bluebells.

Also I think we have a Cowslip in the bank beside our entrance.

Not sure where that has come from.

Hope you are having a good day.

Been feeling a bit down over the last few days
my weight is just going up and up
although I am walking on average over 8000 steps a day
and I am sure I am not eating too much

so today - I am back on the "diet" shakes and will try to
stop or reduce eating puddings apart from fruit.

Not sure if I can deal with this but I know that writing my
thoughts down may help me.

Well best be going and sort out tea

Have a good evening and hope to be back in a few days if
not before.

Thank you for popping in

As always

a Posy of Spring flowers

Hi there

Thank you for popping over today and sorry I missed you yesterday.

Had a lovely time over seeing my family Eldest daughter, Hubby and
Farran my Grandson.

Then spent the afternoon out in the garden

Where does the time go I ask myself.... too quick by half.

So today

Busy making wee cards to go into parcels so thought I would share them
with you today

Used my Misti and made small cards using watercolour inks
on the rubber stamp from

Penny Black.

So quick and easy to make and yet so effective.

Just love them.

A posy of Spring Flower cards

I would like to enter them into the following

Challenges

It is a lot colder today and there is forecast for rain
I have to say that our garden could do with some rain now.

I hope you have a great day and I am busy today
with a Commission to do a drawing of a "family dog"

Using my pastels for this so it will be on going for the next week
I expect.

Do not wish to rush it.

I feel sometimes I loose my mojo making cards and
think this is reflected in my latest projects.

All part and parcel of the learning curve of crafting

Have a great day

Mixed Media Panel

Hi there

Thank you for your visit today

Thought I would share something that I posted on Facebook yesterday

I have been using my Pebeo items to make this
project.

I have used the fantasy moon and prisme inks with the creme relief paste
to shape the heart.

I think I should have used one of the coloured cremes, silver or gold to
make the heart as you can see in the other photos the heart looks white.

but it drys clear.

But I have to say I like how the paints have blended overnight....
what do you think?

Bit smelly while you work but I so love the way the paints move and blend
together.

It has now dried over night and this is the result.

here is the one yesterday.... note the white heart

I would like to post it over on this new Challenge

Need to get on and look at the Challenges I am a Design Team member for
not sure where the time is going ?>?????

Anyway have a good day
and I look forward to hearing from you

Love to know what you think of this panel.

Yes the photo yesterday was of a bat

Have a great day
