Groovy face

Hi All

Thank you for popping in today this being the last day of the year.

Nearly time for the New Year of 2017 where does the time go.

Would like to say Happy New Year
πŸŽ‡

It has been a bit of a roller coaster of a year for my family this year.... so fingers
crossed things will improve in the next.

I have been playing with something new today.

A new Stencil from Sheena Douglass Groovy 60's ..... that is my time
when I was young, carefree and happy.

So here is my card for today.

I have used one of my mopped up papers today with the stencil

Used Black Soot distress inks and then coloured in with watercolour paints the eyes
and lips.

Mounted onto a card blank having given an edge to the paper.

I would like to enter if for the following

Challenges

Thank you everyone for your love and support over on my blog
this year and I look forward to seeing you in the next

Petunia 2

Well hello today on the last Friday of the year.

I have today been continuing to play with my paints.
Finding it so relaxing I have to say.

I have made a tag to continue the theme which I set myself of  either flowers, animals and tags
for the The Craft Barn

I have made a tag from one of my mopped up papers from yesterday

Stamped the Petunia image onto the tag

Painted in the flowers and added a bit more colour and finally added a
definition

I hope you like it and would like to enter it for the
following

Challenges

So it is P is for Petunia this is a Rubbernecker stamp

I hope you have a wonderful rest of the day.

Interesting post today on my meditation pages

 Withdrawal and Isolation!

" Even when we withdraw from the world it is still there"

So very true at this moment in time with all that is going on.

Thank you for your wonderful comments

Zucchini petunia

Good afternoon all and thanks for popping over to see me.

I hope you are well and still enjoying the "after Christmas" time.

I have to say I will be pleased once things get back to normal on the TV.

I know I know that should not be a major problem, but I do like the TV on while I am
working .... and the "rubbish" that is on here in the UK is something else.

Anyway there are much more important things happening - was on the phone for
nearly an hour this morning to Mum. Think she felt better after not sure about me.....
No of course I am ok.... just felt bit drained.

So much worry.... but I can not do anything about it.... time will tell.

Anyway I have been playing with my Color Burst powders today and have come up with this
card for you today.

It is a Petunia stamped (Rubbernecker stamps) in permanent ink the outline and added the colours to the center
from the powders on my mat. I have tried to keep to the colour Zucchini which I think
would be a yellow / green colour ?

I have used today watercolour paper to add that bit of texture.

Then I have added black "zero's!" onto the background with butterflies with zeros too.
Not sure it that will suffice for the theme but will give it a go :)

Matted and layered onto to snippets of cardstock from my stash
onto a cream coloured black card.

I hope you like it and would like to enter it for the following

Challenges

Well best dash and get the washing off the line - do not expect it to be dry
but there is something rather nice with the smell from washing from the line.

Thank you for popping over and all being well
see you tomorrow.

P is for ...... Passion

Good afternoon all

Thank you for taking the time to pop over to view my blog.

I hope you are enjoying your day and all is well with you today.
I went shopping today, after Christmas, thinking "oh wonder if the shops will be open"
silly me....

Tesco's here were open 24 hours per day since Boxing Day !!!

Very quite in town too... so much for the sales, well to be honest I have been
shopping on line for my stuff....

What I hear you ask .... crafting items of course.

Going to do more watercolour painting, mixed media work in the coming year
I hope.

So here is my card for today

I have used Sheena Douglas stamp of a Passion Flower inking in grey first.
Then used my watercolour pens to paint in the flower.

Mounted onto snippets of card stock and added a definition

I hope you like it and would like to enter it for the following

Challenge

An interesting thought in my book yesterday which I would like to share
It is a Chinese Proverb

" A bit of fragrance clings to the hand that gives flowers"

Thought this was rather nice... maybe something to remember to add to
a card.

Well I hope you have good evening

Thank you for popping in and see you tomorrow.

Brain wave

Good afternoon everyone

So lovely for you to pop in to see me today at this very busy time

I have been rather busy today, shopping which was a nightmare. So so many people
out and about.

Baking as soon as I got home, sausage rolls, chocolate cake, brownies,
2 different loaves bread, and gammon cooking.

Making my tummy rumble but this is all for tomorrow. So looking forward to
the girls and my grandchildren coming over.

Even got the tree up yesterday. Must hoover before they come :)

Well I had a brain wave as to what to do with the Yupo paper

Make some coasters.

Think it will work for the theme Varied as there is plenty of varied dots and colours.

So here they are.

REALLY PLEASED with them.

What do you think/??
Would like to enter them for the following

Thank you for coming over and I look forward to your visit again.

When inks meet Yupo

Afternoon all

As it is nearly Christmas I thought I would just blog today
about something I was playing with yesterday.

Yupo paper and Alcohol inks.

You can get Yupo Paper from various suppliers here I have some from
The SAA

Started just dropping alcohol inks onto the paper.

Splat splat splat

Added more colours into the splats

 And more

Then thought now what ???? I know will splat rubbing alcohol over the patternes and
see what happens.....

Lovely now got more depth of design

Close up here

Now I have to think what do I do with them.

Used just one A4 sheet

The "orange" piece I used with the off cut and used my pens on this one.

Added stripes of fluorescent alcohol inks across the paper and then
added drops of rubbing alcohol onto it.

Seems to work just as well with alcohol pens !!!

Very retro - into the 60's

Will make great backgrounds - just got to think what to do now.

anyway I hope you have enjoyed this trip into a new
method.

Hope to see you tomorrow.

Really must get on with the housework before the Girls come
round.

Have a great day

I have used the the line in the Allsorts challenge

Add dimension blue yellow and no design paper. I hope my card meets the criteria.

Dahlia

Hi there thank you for popping in today.

Been out early this morning and got the turkey, and found space in the freezer for it.

So if nothing else fails this week we have the turkey.

Here is my card for today - was rather nice to do something other than
Christmas ( bar humbug )

First I stamped the dahlia from Sheena Douglass onto white card stock

Blended the watercolour paints into the flower and blended Worn Lipstick distress ink
around the cut down image.

Then thought needed something to make the flower pop, water in hand and clap
over the image. Wait a few moments and mop up with a paper towel.

Then added mat and layers of different card stock onto a white card blank
Made a ribbon and added a sentiment.

I would like to enter this card for the following

Thank you for your visit today.

Hope all is well with you and yours.

Time for a cuppa me thinks.

Hi

Well thought I would get ahead today and post my blog for you early.

Made a tag with the theme of flowers or animals

So here is my tag

M is for Magnolia

I have used a blank white tag and stamped an image from
Sheena Douglas onto the tag using permanent ink

Then with my Aqua pens just gave a light dusting of colour to the flowers
and gave a bit of a halo for the flowers using a smoothie with a bit of blue still
on the sponge

I then added a definition
