In the Meadow

Afternoon all

Thank you for popping in today, and a big welcome to my new
followers.

Here is a card I have finished today

trying to keep with the colour
theme.

I have used one of the mopped up papers having used Color Burst powders

The stamped the image using a Rubbernecker stamp having painted the
rubber stamp with watercolour paints first.

Then added more greens to create the picture

Added some butterflies to match the colour theme.

Mat and layered onto green card stock.

(sorry about the quality of the photo today - not good trying to take a photo when it is
now dark outside. Will take a photo tomorrow to add to this blog in the day time)

I hope you like it and would like to enter it for the following

Has to be CAS

Morning - early today

Thought I would share this CAS card for you
from Penny Black Stamps.

I remembered I had this stamp the other day when I got a lovely
card from Brenda.

Blonde moment ... had a rummage in my Penny Black stamp collection and
found the Bejeweled stamp.

I started off using my Misti and seeing where the stamp will be on a snippet of
card stock.

Inked up using watercolour pens - doing the leaves first and then doing the flowers

You may notice that one of the magnets has broken.... "exploded in half" the other day
not sure why but glued back together. Wonder if I should contact the people I bought it from?

Used up some of my snippets of black card to layer the cut down topper onto.

Then mounted onto a white card blank
A simple CAS card

Thank you for your visit today

Hope you have a great day and the week ahead is wonderful for you.

Looks like it is better weather today compared to yesterday. Rain all day yesterday
and there was thick fog this morning but that has lifted.

Did not get in so many steps yesterday, although I did the housework etc.

So today I hope to get a walk in even if it is down to Mikes shed.

Thank you again

Bye for now

Another birch with dots and spots.

Afternoon all and thank you for popping in today

What a day - heavy rain and cold... but what does one expect it is
Winter !!!

I thought I would share today another card made with the Rubbernecker stamp.

I did get it from America direct from the company, last year.
Have to say how well it stamps.

I have used a snippet of scrap card which "did not work out" so as not to
waste the card stock turned it over and stamped the image in black.

Cut it down and added my watercolour paints.

Mounted this time onto different layers of black and white card
to make the image pop.
Added faux stitching around the edge.

No sentiment this time.

I hope you like it and would like to enter it for the following

One BIG Spot and lots of small dots :)

Had major problem with the computer crashing this morning....aggghhhh

Now backing up everything onto a hard drive.

Fortunately my son has helped restore the faulty programme, by remote control
funny seeing all the things happening on the screen and you are not in
control.
Was waving my hands about saying the folder is up there.... dohhhh...
as if he could see me.

Anyway all fixed now.

Having a roast for tea, need to get the potatoes sorted.

Must be winter ....

Have a great evening and thank you for your visit today.

Special Wedding Card

Hiya and how are you doing today?

Been cooking this morning and just back from a wee walk. Really rather nice
outside today. Even got to peg out...not sure it will dry but there is something
nice about washing that has been hung outside to dry.

Think it must be the fresh air we have here.... not pollution apart from the
natures smells.

Anyway thought I would make a special Wedding Card today
for my Step-Niece who is getting married in March.

The inspiration took me....today so here it is

I have used my Hunkydory card stock to make this card, using a topper, several different
sheets of Adorable Scorable card to create the design.

The topper is from my new selection of toppers. Also I have added some
flowers. I do not usually add this depth to a card - due to posting but
seeing I will be seeing my Step-Niece thought it would be nice to
add something new (to me) in the form of the textured flowers.

Here is a photo I took while I was out for that walk

Just look at that sky. Wonderful.

There are times when I think I am so lucky to live in this place, in the middle of
nowhere compared a town

No Village shop, No Pub, No Post Office, No School, No Bus,
Wonderful

Anyway best dash and contemplate things to come.

Have a good day and I look forward to hearing from you again.

Oh and thank you Jenny L for your comments about sewing ideas yesterday.

Coffee and Cream Butterflies

Good afternoon all and thank you for popping over.

I love seeing your blogs so I hope you enjoy seeing mine too.

Here is my card for today.

Keeping with the Coffee and Cream theme for this card

I have used my favorite stamp here from AlteNew to stamp different
sizes and shades of Butterflies in different layers.

I then used a paintbrush filled with watercolour paint to "flick" around the butterflies
to give a bit more "feel" for the card.

Added a coffee coloured edge onto cream coloured card stock

I hope you like it and would like to enter it for the following

I have loads and loads of material. Do I start making some bags or what.

any ideas???

Do I wash my material before I start sewing....

It is ages since I really thought about using my sewing machine.
Sold my old one and bought a new one....
is it going to help?

Any thought I would love to hear from you.

for sale. Little and often works for me...all makes it worth while.

Anyway thought I would share a very quick wee card with you today.

I have used Rubbernecker stamp to stamp the image. Used black
arkival ink and then used watercolour pencils just to give a hint of
colour to the image.

Then used the Thank you from Altenew stamps Penned Rose.

added to my steps for today and my floors.

shaving foam paper from my stash.

Then added the wee flowers and dots from the bits filling in the centers of some
of the flowers, and added nuvo drops too.

Pink Love

Afternoon

Just popping in now after a rather busy day. Went into the town first things
this morning and then as the weather has been just right
ventured into the garden this afternoon.

Only did an hour out in the garden - think the old bones will start to ache
later. Mr and Mrs Robin have been bombing around looking for all those
wee grubs. Bless.

Nature is just fantastic if you stop and stare.

A very quick card for today.

I have used up my snippets of mopped up card stock today.
This card stock was made by using up ink on a blending mat.

I have used the girl hearts stamp from Clarity Stamps
and inked up in black.

Cut down the image and used watercolour ink around the edge and
smudged the edges to give a bit of texture

Then cut down another section of the card stock to make another layer.

I hope you like it and would like to enter it for the

Let it snow Let is snow

Morning all

Thank you for your visit yesterday and your comments.

I hope you had a good weekend and ready for the week ahead.

Yesterday I made a card for a project over at The Craft Barn
and then realised that I needed to add words to the card.

So here is my card for today.....

So made something different for that very reason.

I started off with a blank white card stock and splattered it with masking fluid.

Coloured in different colours of blue with hills.

Then I used various stamps from Card-io to design the scene

Just love these wee stamps.

Mounted onto gold mirri card, black card and card blank.

Added the words to match the theme

Thank you for your visit today.....

Just a quick blog

Have items on Ebay for sale so hope to be busy
packing up the items ready for posting tomorrow ( of course so long as I sell the items
and the people pay)

I like to get my parcels off in the post on a Tuesday if I can - the day I go into
town.

Know that it is a 14 mile round trip to town so do not wish to use up
too much petrol.

Anyway have a good day, the sun is shinning and all is well here.
Off to write up my new Journal....

Trying a different way to log my thoughts.....

Bye for now

Snowflake Robin

Good afternoon and thank you for popping
in this Sunday.

I hope you are having a great day.

Here is my card for today.

I have used Penny Black stamp onto white card stock. I used my Misti stamping
tool which is a great tool to help get an even image.

I have used masking fluid to mask off the sections I did not want to get ink on.

Selection of inks used. I did use a sponge smoothie to colour in as that
did not drag the masking fluid.
The plastic at the bottom of the image was used to mask off the bottom
section.

Background inked up still showing the masking fluid

Cut down the image and colour in the robin and trees.

Then to give more detail to the snowflakes I added acrylic paint.

Added a snippet of a topper with a snowflake on and added a ribbon.
Mounted onto black card onto a white card blank.

I do love this stamp from Penny Black......
hope you do too.

I hope you like it and would like to enter it for the following

Daisy dogs

Good morning all

Thank you for popping in today. I hope your first day of the weekend is going
well for you.
Not so warm here today, the sun has gone behind the clouds and it is very cold
outside. Yesterday was a lovely sunny day almost felt spring was nearly with us.
But like it is, we have a little way to go before that happens.

Have you noticed that the days are getting longer? Funny how it creeps up on you
and I found I did not have to put the lights on so early yesterday.

Here is my card for today

I have used up a snippet of mopped up watercolour card to make this card.

Stamped the Little Claire Dogs onto it. I have a lot of people who love these cards I have
to say....always a favorite.

Added a little more green to the bottom just by moving the watercolour around and adding
a little more green.

Then I cut it down and rummaged through my stash of bits and found
several small sections of green card.

And mounted onto a snippet of flower paper as a background to match into the
die cut flowers.

Added nuvo drops to the flowers and faux stitching around the edge of the dog topper.

I would like enter it for the following

Blue Birthday

Welcome today to my blog.

It is sunny and feeling sort of warm here "in doors". How is it for you today.

I am doing the washing and hope to "peg out" shortly.

so while the washing is finishing I will blog my card for today.

I have used Altenew stamps and inks to make this card.

First I stamped the flower and then added the leaves across the page and around the edges.

I hope it meets with the sketch theme this month.

It is not so much a "topper" but a flower in the position of the circle.

Adding the flowers around the edges to make the "edge" instead of the faux stitching.

The Altenew stamps used where Floral Spring for the sentiment and Floral Shadow for the main
part of the card both from Seven Hills

I hope you like it
