Remembrance Day Poppy

Good Morning

Well here I am sitting here and thought I would share with you what I
was making yesterday.

I asked for a pattern for a poppy and my niece posted one to me over social media
and once I started looking I found so many it took ages to sort out what I was going to do.

Anyway I set too..... make a few Crochet Poppies so that I can wear one today and tomorrow.

I do think it is important to remember those that have gone before us, and those
who are still fighting for our freedom.

I have made these with double knit wool and a crochet hook 4.5mm.

The first one was made with darker wool and the 2 others with bright red.

I have used a safety pin to attach the poppies to my clothes.

They were very quick to make - think I need a bit more practice reading
patterns as I did get in a bit of a muddle

So I did watch a few YouTube videos which were a help.

Think I am more a watch than a read learner.

So here are my poppies.

Have a good day and do remember to have a moment to remember at

11 o-clock today

11 am on the 11th of 11 month

Good afternoon all

Well here I am still sewing and enjoying the journey.

I have made this Dove out of scraps of material, ribbon and buttons, also the filling
was scraps of wadding which I had cut off other projects (like my bags the other day)

I used a template of a bird shape with separate wings.

Stuffed the wings and did a few stiches on top to give a bit of definition.

Then using the scrap of ribbon placed it between the pattern body pieces and stitched around
leaving an opening to turn the material right sides out.

Hope you can see the ribbon which is from Crafty Ribbons and the buttons also from
Crafty Ribbons. Just love those Hearts I got the other day.

Well those photos give you an idea of the Dove

100th Birthday

Hi there

Well not sure where the time has gone now that we are into November

It was Dennis birthday yesterday but this is NOT his card :)

I was asked to make a special card for a distant relative to us for

Aunty Florrie

So here it is - I was asked to have Lillie's, pots of flowers and colour

so I hope I met the requirements. They were pleased with it.

I have used Hunkydory items, die cut out the sentiments

Thank you for your visit and happy crafting

Panda Eyes

Hi there

Nearly missed the post so here is my entry as a Design Member
over at LTSCB this month

I have used alcohol pens to colour in the image, used pencils and pens to
make the background

Then mat and layered patterned paper with black card.

Added a sentiment Best Wishes keeping with the black theme.

I hope you like it

Stuffed bag

Afternoon all

Well I hope you are safe and not being blown away with the strong
winds that are in the UK today.

Very windy here I have to say, and I remember the storm of 1987 which
ripped the roof off our home.

So I hope today will not be so bad here in Devon

Anyway been playing with my sewing machine today, using up a couple of
fat quarters scraps  I have used up scraps of ribbon and ric rac.

Stuffing was bits from my bag of wadding scraps !!! So a bag out of scraps.

I have made this bag - ops should have taken photos along the way

I have used a bit of poly wadding to give the bag a bit more body and stuffed the handles with
toy stuffing.

I have added ric rac from Crafty ribbons along the bottom edge front and back
and a ribbon again from Crafty ribbons by the handle.

I hope you like it. Now I have to wonder what I am going to do with it.

May give it away to a family member.?

Sewing again

Hi there

How are you today.

Thought I would share today a few bits of sewing I have been

Both these items have been made with scrape material bits

And the zip bag using joined together inside material
and scraps of the white star material.

a curtain for the small bag with the insides using
the ironing board cover which I replaced

See the zig zag stitches to join the material together here.

The red bag with the 3 zips have 3 pockets so can be used
for all those interesting items which need to be stored.

I am using it for my hand sewing items.

Have a good day and hope that I have inspired you to
pick up your sewing too.

Have a great day

You drive me Batty

Well hello again

Here I am thinking about things and trying to catch up doing what I should be

Life seems to get busy and things get in the way.

But with my garden getting to the point of "running down" for Autumn it is giving
me a bit more time to craft. Well here is me hope it will be the case.

I have got this card ready to show you for the challenge over at

Love to Scrap Challenge blog

I have used..... the images of the bats and sentiment from  Oddball Art Co

I have coloured in the bats with alcohol pens and cut them out

mat and layered the sentiment onto black card and mirri board

Then I designed a background paper

mat and layered that and here it is.

Something a bit different but fun too.

May even use it for my partners birthday card, his birthday being on
31st October

Anyway hope to see you soon

take care and crafty hugs
